Rachel Wood was born and raised in New York City. She has a BA in Theatre Arts from Penn State University. After graduating in 1996, she moved to London and studied makeup at Greasepaint College and The London School of Beauty & Makeup. She also has a certificate in hair styling from Andre Jose in London. Rachel has been working as a freelance makeup artist since 1997 and now splits her time working between NYC, London and LA. Although Rachel works in mulitiple facets of the makeup industry (red carpet, editorial, advertising, TV etc) the majority of her work is heading up the makeup side of things for fashion shows. Rachel not only designs the look, but also coordinates the assistants, handles the press and often sorts out the product sponsership.
Rachel is a former employee of MAC cosmetics and is currently the celebrity makeup artist spokesperson for Benefit Cosmetics UK- Appearing as the UK- QVC guest TV presenter and is the makeup artist spokesperson for Pearl Drops instant white.
